    Bootsy Collins Funk University Announced
    Online Resources If one is supposed to name a legend in funk bass playing, it would be none other than Bootsy Collins. The man used to be the bass player for James Brown, Parliament Funkadelic, and other such artists and went on to build a name that's his own. His tweet on his Twitter page that says, "If you build it, they will funk," was among the first clues to his mission of spreading the funk to bassists all over, which has just been announce as the Bootsy Collins Funk University.

    Funk University is said to be a world's first attempt at an online school dedicated to funk bass playing. With Funk University, Bootsy Collins provides an opportunity for bassists around the globe to study under his direction. The first semester begins this July 1, 2010 with enrollment being served on a first-come-first-serve basis.
