Staff Spotlight: The Night That Ebay Saved Christmas, Pt. 1
Money Issues - Making and Keeping It Hey, aren't for-sale lists supposed to be in the forums? Yes indeed, but when you're a staff member, you get special perks. Link Editor RKF hasn't mentioned it here yet, but he's got a big batch of records & CDs for sale up on Ebay. Look for my own "help fund my holidays" sale in the next couple of days..

Staff Spotlight: Dead Angel #49 Online
Zines Allsound link editor RKF has put issue #49 of his ezine Dead Angel up. More ranting! More raving! Plus an interview (sort of) with Ohio's Croatan, mix tapes, music, book and movie reviews, as well as the occasional invocation of lost deities..

Staff Spotlight: A Haunted Halloween Evening at Home With Not Breathing
Broadcast Dave Wright of Not Breathing and Carrion Sound writes in to tell us: "HALLOWEEN EVENING - Live internet broadcast. Log onto www.notbreathing.com around 9pm ARIZONA time on Hallows Eve for a extended dj set of Halloween Horror Effects records and an extra evil set by Not Breathing. You will need winamp to listen in." I'm assuming any music player that can handle streaming mp3 files will probably be fine. And since Dave did write this popular article on building a 2-bit sampler for us, I'm going to slap this one in the "Staff Spotlight" section. See the perks you get when you contribute?

Staff Spotlight: Persona 'Maximal' CD Available for Download
Electronic Music We're rolling out a new section on Allsound, the Staff Spotlight, which is intended to highlight the activities of Allsound staff, writers and associates. Obviously there's some overlap anyway with the topics that Allsound covers and the things that our staff is up to (we've mentioned new issues of link editor RKF's Dead Angel ezine on several occasions, for example), but we wanted to throw that extra bit on emphasis on everyone's actions in the future. So first up in the spotlight is, well, me. More accurately, it's Persona, my semi-beat-oriented electronic project of the last few years. The debut Persona CD, Maximal has gone out of print, so I've decided to put the whole thing up online for free. Recorded in 1998, it's a mixed bag of me getting my digi-beat legs; certainly not perfect (and not really falling too much into either of the "beautiful" or "difficult" categories listed on the Allsound masthead) but fun all the same, and features some great remixes from Lesser, Kid606, Marumari, Warn Defever and Totemplow.
