Not all guitar players have room for 20 guitars or more. Not everybody has a team or roadies to haul in multiple guitars for just one show. If one has the option of putting them all together in just one instrument, it will not be surprising if a person would invest in such an item. This is the logic behind Line 6 Variax. For 2010, new designs for the Variax come into existence courtesy of the new Line 6 Variax Guitars Designed by James Tyler.
James Tyler has been known among guitar building enthusiasts as the designer behind some of the guitars played by respected guitarists such as Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, and Dan Huff. These new Line 6 Variax guitars will be available in three styles, each of which reflective of the innovative style of James Tyler.
The new Variax Guitars Designed by James Tyler make use of patented Line 6 technology in order to reproduce the sound of 25 vintage electric and acoustic guitars. It also is capable of recalling a dozen custom tunings. The modeled instruments of these new Variax guitars include solid-body, semihollow, and hollow-body electric guitars with 6- or 12-string acoustics and various pickup variations.
