At this point, observers of the music and pro audio community are satiated by the onslaught of iPad applications appearing here and there. Who can blame them anyway? It is a fact that the iPad is definitely the "It" item for musicians, becoming an all-purpose platform for musical applications. DJs are also part of the iPad craze too and therefore we see another iPhone app becoming ported into iPad: the Pajamahouse Studios Sonosaurus Rex.
Sonosaurus Rex is described to be the younger but bigger brother of the Sonosaurus, an iPhone app for DJs. While it retains most of the iPhone Sonosaurus functionality, Sonosaurus Rex adds in new features. Examples of these are the BPM Tapper and beat-sensitive waveforms that facilitate the beatmatching experience. As with most applications ported to the iPad, Sonosaurus Rex's interface is optimized for the iPad's large screen.
