Blue Sky SAT 6.5 EXR: New Near-Field Ported Studio Monitor Now Shipping

Critical listening requires tools that have a crystal clear output and a very flat response. These characteristics are what the Blue Sky monitors are known for. Keeping that name sky high, Blue Sky is now shipping the SAT 6.5 EXR, one of the latest studio monitors coming out of the Blue Sky shelf.
The SAT 6.5 EXR is a two-way, bi-amplified near-field ported studio monitor. It features two 100-Watt amplifiers, a single 6.5" high-excursion hemispherical woofer, and a 1" dual concentric diaphragm tweeter with integral wave guide for superior off-axis response.
The SAT 6.5 EXR can be used with or without a subwoofer. It has two completely independent balanced input stages with XLR connectors found at the rear panel. Its main input is for standard 80-Hz bass-managed operation, making the SAT 6.5 EXR compatible with Blue Sky's subwoofers such as the SUB 12, SUB 212 and SUB 15 Universal. This input has an 80-Hz high pass network with phase correction filter. A second "Extended Range" input is useful for situations where a subwoofer is not available or could be impractical. This "Extended Range" input is also useful as a "confidence" input where audio engineers can make comparisons between bass-managed and extended range modes.
