Acoustic guitars, just like other musical instruments, have a delicate and fragile nature that can change in a few moments, depending on environmental conditions. This can get worse with traveling, being exposed to changes in temperature, humidity, as well as other factors that get acoustic guitar beat up while on the road. In an effort to address the traveling musician's needs, Cordoba Guitars has recently teamed up with surfer/musician Donavon Frankenreiter to develop the La Playa Travel SS.
The La Playa Travel SS is a steel-string guitar designed for travel on the road. It is based on the Donabvon Frankenreiter signature nylon-string travel guitar but instead having steel strings, a thinner neck, and a radiused fingerboard. Talking about wood, this guitar has a solid Canadian Maple top and mahogany back and sides. This 1/2 size cutaway guitar is equipped with a 2-band pickup, battery-powered amp, and a tarpaulin-insulated gig bag patterned after surfboard travel bags.
The Cordoba Guitars La Playa Travel SS is ideal for traveling musicians and entry-level players, having only an MSRP of 345.00 USD.
