The iPad has the goal of changing the way people work. As much as scorewriters and tab makers for desktop computers have eliminated the use of paper and turned the craft of handwritten notation into a rarity, desktop computers are not amongst the most portable items in the world. TabToolkit is a guitar tablature and music notation viewer and editor. As the nature of the application implies, it finds itself having important functions for learning and practicing music as well as jotting down musical ideas and writing out complete compositions.
TabToolkit also features multitrack playback just as you would experience with some desktop-based notation programs. Its audio synthesis engine allows users to listen to and control the audio of each individual track. This application also features playback tempo control, a metronome, as well as a tab upload and manager.
