TC Electronic PolyTune Guitar Tuner Now Shipping

It is a standard technique that guitarists would tune individual strings in reference to others. Therefore, it is quite a common site to see guitarists test out how well they tuned their guitars by strumming a chord to see if every string sounds perfectly in tune with others. This contextually comprehensive way of tuning, however, is not taken into account by most tuners except the TC Electronic PolyTune, which is now being shipped to licensed TC Electronic resellers.
PolyTune is dubbed as the world's first polyphonic guitar tuner. Users can just strum a chord and PolyTune will be able to determine which string/strings needs tuning. Such an intuitive way of tuning allows the guitarist to use both traditional tuning techniques alongside an accurate tuning device.
PolyTune also has a chromatic tuner feature that is described as accurate to 0.5 cent. It also sports a "MonoPoly" feature that makes PolyTune recognize whether a user is playing either a single string or multiple strings and automatically switches between monophonic and polyphonic modes of tuning.
To monitor pitch detection, users will benefit from PolyTune's ambient light sensor that automatically matches the intensity of the LED to the present lighting of the room where the guitarist is situated. This ensures that PolyTune's monitors are always visible regardless of the lighting situation whether in studio, in the bedroom, or live on stage.
