Peavey 6534 Plus: The Evolution Of The Sound Of Guitar Aggression

There is one manufacturer who lays claim to defining the sounds of aggressive music since 1991, and that is Peavey with their high-gain 6505 Series of guitar amplifiers. Nineteen years later, Peavey has just made the next step for the 6505 Series with the new Peavey 6534 Plus.
The Peavey 6534 Plus is a 120-watt two-channel guitar amplifier head that boasts of having EL34 power tubes, making it a British-flavored American amplifier. It still is capable of the high-gain tone of the 6505 Series; however, while it boasts of such aggression, it is quieter with its new design that minimizes the noise that high-gain tube amps generate. The amp's rhythm channel is voiced to clean up well while retaining much loved raw saturation.
At the heart of the 6534 Plus's preamp section are six 12AX7 tubes. Both lead and rhythm channels feature independent three-band EQ, pre- and post-gain controls, and Peavey's patented Resonance and Presence controls for low-end and high-end enhancement. The rhythm channel has a bright switch and a footswitch controllable Crunch boost. This amplifier also has footswitchable effects loop and preamp output.
